Welcome to Gladstone Gaol! To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all our guests and to preserve the unique heritage of this site, your entry to this event is strictly subject to the following conditions. By purchasing a ticket and entering the premises, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Rules & Regulations

1. Mandatory Parental Supervision (Our Golden Rule) All attendees under the age of 16 must be actively and directly supervised by a responsible parent or guardian at all times. This is a core safety requirement of our events. Your full attention to the children in your care is essential for their safety and the enjoyment of all guests.

2. Respect for a Historic Site: You are entering a significant heritage landmark. We ask for your help in preserving it for future generations.

Climbing is Strictly Prohibited: Climbing on any walls, fences, structures, ruins, or historical objects is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal from the event.
Respect the Property: Do not touch, deface, or remove any part of the historic fabric of the building or grounds.

3. Assumption of Risk & Restricted Areas: You voluntarily acknowledge and accept that Gladstone Gaol is a historic site with inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven surfaces, stone structures, low light in some areas, and other potential hazards.

Stay Within Designated Areas: For your safety, certain areas of the Gaol have been deemed unsafe and are strictly off-limits.
Full Responsibility: You agree to take full responsibility for yourself and any children in your care. Entering any area that is fenced off, roped off, or marked with a "No Entry" or "Restricted Area" sign is done at your own risk. "The Great Gladstone Gaol Breakout Events" & "Magic Mirror Entertainment" accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage sustained as a result of entering these clearly marked, restricted zones.

4. Photographic & Video Consent: By entering the event, you consent to being photographed or filmed by our official event staff. These images and recordings may be used for promotional and archival purposes by "The Great Gladstone Gaol Breakout Events" & "Magic Mirror Entertainment" without compensation.

5. General Conduct: We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person who is behaving in a disruptive, dangerous, or disrespectful manner, or who fails to comply with these conditions of entry.

By purchasing a ticket and entering this event, you are confirming that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all of the terms and conditions listed above.

WARNING & Terms and Conditions of Entry: Halloween Haunt, & Fright Night (16+)

This is an intense, high-energy, and frightening scare event. It is not recommended for those with a nervous disposition. By purchasing a ticket and entering the premises, you are confirming that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following legally binding terms and warnings.

1. STRICT Age Restriction (16+): This event is strictly for ages 16 and over. Valid photo ID will be required upon entry. Guests who are underage or who cannot produce valid photo ID will be refused entry without a refund.

2. Health & Safety Warning: You should not attend this event if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, are prone to seizures (epilepsy), or have any other medical or psychological condition that could be aggravated by fog effects, strobe lighting, sudden noises, intense psychological situations, or scenes of a frightening nature.

3. Rules of Engagement & Contact Policy (IMPORTANT): Our scare actors are trained professionals. To create an immersive and terrifying experience, you may be subjected to brief, momentary, and incidental physical contact. This may include actions such as a shoulder grab, a hand being grabbed, or an accidental brush as part of a sudden jump scare. However, the rule for guests is absolute: you must not touch, harass, or be aggressive towards our actors or other guests. Any guest who violates this rule will be immediately removed from the event by security without a refund.

4. Assumption of High Risk: You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending this intense scare event. These risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by low-light conditions, fog effects, strobe lighting, uneven surfaces, sudden actions, loud noises, extreme psychological distress, and the possibility of brief, momentary, and incidental physical contact from our scare actors.

5. Respect for History & Restricted Areas: Gladstone Gaol is a historic site. Climbing on walls or structures is strictly prohibited. For your safety, do not enter any area that is fenced, roped off, or marked "No Entry."

6. No Recording: To protect the surprises and the atmosphere of the event, video and audio recording of the performance and scare zones are strictly prohibited.

7. "Overnight Lockdown" Guests: By purchasing an "Overnight Lockdown" ticket, you agree to an even higher level of immersion and accept all associated risks of staying overnight in a historic, reportedly haunted location.

8. Intoxication & Conduct: We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who appears to be intoxicated, without refund. Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour will result in immediate removal from the event.

"Murder Mystery: Who Killed Guard Finch?" - Official Event Policy & Rules

Welcome, Detective! To ensure an immersive, safe, and thrilling experience for all our guests and performers, your ticket to "Who Killed Guard Finch?" is subject to the following specific event policies.

1. Age Restriction: Strictly 18+: This is an adults-only event. The themes are mature, the atmosphere is intense, and the mystery is complex. All attendees must be 18 years of age or older. Valid ID may be requested upon entry.

2. Cancellations & Transfers (Strictly Limited Capacity): Due to the exclusive nature of this event, with only 15 tickets available per night, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
A ticket transfer to another person or a request for a credit for a future event will only be accepted if we are notified via email at magicmirrorevents.laurab@gmail.com at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event start time.
No-shows and cancellations within the 72-hour window will forfeit the full ticket price without exception.

3. Guest Participation & Respect for Actors: This is an interactive, theatrical performance. You are part of the story!

Engage with the Mystery: You are encouraged to ask questions, interrogate suspects, and discuss theories with your fellow detectives.
Respect the Performers: Our actors will be in character for the entire event. Please interact with them respectfully. Any inappropriate, aggressive, or overly disruptive behaviour towards our actors or other guests will result in immediate removal from the event without a refund. Do not touch the actors or their props unless invited to do so.
Stay with the Group: This is a guided experience. For your safety and to ensure you don't miss crucial clues, you must stay with the Warden/Matron (your guide) at all times.

4. Spoilers, Photography & Recording The secret is the heart of the mystery!

"Don't Spoil the Whodunnit!": We kindly ask that you do not reveal the identity of the killer or key plot points on social media or to friends who may be attending a future event. Let everyone have the chance to solve it for themselves.
Photography: Non-flash photography is welcome. However, to preserve the atmosphere, flash photography and video/audio recording of the performance are strictly prohibited.

5. Site & Safety Information

Historic Venue: Please remember you are in a 19th-century gaol with uneven surfaces, stone floors, and low lighting. Please dress warmly and wear sensible, flat, closed-toe shoes.
Late Arrivals: The story begins promptly. Latecomers may be admitted only at a suitable break in the performance and may miss crucial opening scenes. No refunds will be given for late arrivals.
Alcohol: A single welcome drink can be provided on entry if requested. This is not a BYO event. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who appears to be intoxicated, without refund.
