We understand that not everyone is in a position to contribute financially, but that doesn't mean you can't be a huge part of this journey. At Magic Mirror Entertainment, we believe that passion, skill, and "sweat equity" are just as valuable as gold.

We are looking for enthusiastic locals to join our family and help us bring Gladstone Gaol back to life. If you have time, skills, or a flair for the dramatic, we want to hear from you!

We Are Currently Seeking:

​​​​​

  • Event Heroes: Help us make the magic happen on the day! We are looking for friendly Sales Assistants for our ticket and merchandise stands, and general Event Helpers to guide guests and keep the atmosphere buzzing.

​

  • Safety Squad: Safety is our priority. We are looking for Certified First Aid Officers to be present at our major events to ensure everyone stays safe and happy.

​

  • Venders: We are looking for people seeking to sell their wears. Reserve a spot for $30 a day.

Cast Call: Actors & Character Hosts

Do you have a flair for the dramatic? We are scouting for talented local actors (or people with dramatic flare) to join our troupe!

We are casting for a variety of roles across our 2026 season:

  • Murder Mystery Suspects (Ages 18 - 70+): We are looking for men and women to play key roles in our immersive 1880s mystery nights. Whether you can play a gruff, older cook, a charming young scoundrel, a high-society lady, or a stern authority figure, we have a role for you. Character acting and improvisation skills are a must!

  • "Scare Actors" for Halloween (Ages 16+): Love to give people a fright? We need energetic men and women to bring our "Fright Night" to life. Roles include silent stalkers, jump-scare creatures, and creepy roles. No dialogue required—just the ability to stay in character and terrify!

​

  • Family Mystery Characters (All Ages): We are looking for friendly, approachable actors to play quirky, lighthearted roles like "Constable Clumsy" or "Sticky Fingers Pete" for our daytime family tours. Great for those who love interacting with kids!

​

Actor Requirements: To apply for an acting role, please email us with:

  1. A Resume/CV detailing your acting experience (or a bio if you are a keen amateur!).

  2. A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory for all performers interacting with the public.

Vendor Call-Out: Market Stalls!

Are you a local artisan, creator, or small business owner? We want to showcase YOUR talent!

​

Magic Mirror Entertainment is inviting vendors to set up stalls at our upcoming community events, including the "Grand Opening" and our family festival days. This is a fantastic, low-cost opportunity to reach a new audience in a unique, historic setting.

​

The Details:

  • Stall Fee: Just $30 per day! We are keeping costs low to support local businesses.

  • What We're Looking For: Hand-made crafts, local produce, giftware, art, and unique products that fit a fun, family-friendly vibe.

  • Requirements: You must provide your own table/marquee and hold your own Public Liability Insurance.​
